Meet Miss Barada
Welcome to 4th Grade! I am so very excited to have each one of your students in my class this year! It is going to be a year packed full of laughter, fun, and lots of learning. I am writing this letter to help you get to know me better so we can begin a partnership for a successful year!
I have always enjoyed being a student (see below a picture of me in 4th grade) and I love learning new things. I attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education in 2014. This summer I completed my Master’s Degree in Education Curriculum and Instruction from Doane University!! I am passionate about becoming a better educator each day and continuing my education to benefit my students. In my free time, I enjoy being with my friends and family, watching and playing sports, crafting, playing the piano, reading, traveling and shopping!
Waverly is an amazing community that I have been so lucky to become a part of. In 2014, I student taught at Hamlow in 2nd grade. After student teaching, I accepted a 4th grade teaching position at WIS, and this will now be my 5th year! They say, time flies when you're having fun, and that's been true of my teaching experience at Waverly. The staff, students, families, and community here are all amazing!
This year will be full of wonderful educational opportunities and we will grow together as learners. I’ve known since I was in fourth grade that I was going to be a teacher when I grew up. I hope to inspire your student to realize his or her potential just like many educators have inspired me to do. I am looking forward to an amazing year!
